1. What is NegoSTOP and what is NegoSTOP used for:
It is indicated for the local treatment of warts and warts. NegoSTOP is a preparation for external dermatological use.
2. What you need to know before using NegoSTOP
Do not use NegoSTOP: - if you are allergic to salicylic acid, lactic acid or any of the other components of this preparation (listed in point 6);
- if the wart or wart or the area of the skin around them is red, irritated, with open wounds or infected;
- on moles, on areas with birthmarks or on warts where hair grows, on warts that have red edges or an unusual color;
- on warts on the face, in the genital area or on the mucous membranes of the eyes, nose or mouth;
- on healthy skin.
Warnings and precautions Before using NegoSTOP, consult your doctor or pharmacist. Avoid contact of the NegoSTOP solution with the eyes, nose, mouth or vaginal area (mucous membranes) as it may cause irritation. In case of accidental contact of the NegoSTOP solution with areas with open wounds, with the eyes, nose, mouth or vaginal area, immediately wash the affected area with water for 15 minutes. 2 Be careful not to apply the NegoSTOP solution to healthy skin around the wart or wart as it may cause irritation. If extensive skin irritation occurs, treatment should be discontinued and your doctor or pharmacist should be consulted. NegoSTOP is not recommended for patients with diabetes or those suffering from poor blood circulation or those who cannot feel their hands or feet. Do not inhale the vapors from the NegoSTOP solution as you may feel dizzy. Do not use NegoSTOP near an open flame.
Children and teenagers
NegoSTOP is not recommended for children under 2 years of age. Caution is recommended for use in children between 2-12 years of age. NegoSTOP is not recommended for children or adolescents who show any signs of fever (high temperature), who have a viral infection (such as flu or chicken pox) or who have just recovered from any of these conditions.
NegoSTOP with other medicines Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medicines. You must not use any other treatment for warts or warts at the same time as using NegoSTOP.
Pregnancy, breastfeeding and fertility
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine. There is no information on the safety of NegoSTOP use in pregnant women. It is not recommended to use NegoSTOP during pregnancy. The substances in NegoSTOP can pass into breast milk. Breast-feeding is not recommended while using NegoSTOP. If you are breastfeeding, do not use NegoSTOP in the breast area so that the NegoSTOP solution does not accidentally enter the baby's mouth.
3. How to use NegoSTOP
Always use this preparation exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure. It is only used externally, on the skin. It is used in adults and children aged 2 years and over. Adults and the elderly The NegoSTOP solution will be applied directly only to the wart or wart once a day, preferably in the evening before going to bed. Be careful to avoid applying to the area of healthy skin around the wart or wart.
Use in children and adolescents For children under 12 years of age, the treatment must be done under the supervision of an adult. Children under 2 years of age cannot be treated with NegoSTOP recommend.
3 NegoSTOP is not recommended for the treatment of warts or warts that extend over an area of the body larger than 5 cm2 (approximately the size of a postage stamp). The duration of the treatment is determined according to the severity of the condition, which can reach 6-12 weeks. Do not continue treatment for more than 12 weeks. If the warts have not disappeared after 12 weeks of treatment, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice. The NegoSTOP solution is flammable (can catch fire). Stay away from sources of heat, fire or open flames and do not smoke while applying the NegoSTOP solution or immediately after applying it.
4. Possible side effects
You may have the following reactions in or around the area where you apply NegoSTOP: • allergic reactions, • inflammation, • pain, • skin irritation, • burning sensation, • redness, • itching, • skin discoloration, • eczema, • swelling , • scaling, • dryness.
Accidental application of the NegoSTOP solution on areas of normal skin may cause the appearance of blisters, peeling of the skin. If you have accidentally swallowed NegoSTOP, used it too often, for long periods of time or on very large areas, then your body may absorb too much salicylic acid. This could lead to salicylate poisoning. Related to this, some of the common symptoms that may occur include feeling thirsty, ringing in the ears or deafness, feeling sick, feeling tired, fast breathing, dizziness, warm hands and feet, or unusual mood or thinking. Stop using NegoSTOP and consult your doctor if you experience these or any other symptoms. Reporting side effects If you experience any side effects, contact your doctor or pharmacist. These include any side effects not mentioned in this leaflet.
5. How to store NegoSTOP
Keep it out of the sight and reach of children.
4 Do not use this solution after the expiration date written on the package, after EXP. The expiry date refers to the last day of the respective month. Store at temperatures below 25ºC, in the original packaging, away from open flames. When not in use, keep the bottle tightly closed, away from heat sources.
Package contents and other information What NegoSTOP contains - The active substances are: salicylic acid and lactic acid. One ml of skin solution contains salicylic acid 167 mg and lactic acid 167 mg. - The other excipients are: flexible collodion (contains pyroxylin, camphor, castor oil, ethyl alcohol, ether).
